1217 Merlot Standard Ceramic Supply
a purchased glaze 1217 merlot melts to a smooth gloss finish. you can see in the photo near the base of the mug that when applied thin the color will break and turn grey. i bought this merlot color to layer over Standard Ceramic’s 1198 layering glaze. the effect is what i believe to be “phase separation”, where the two glazes are not melting together but bubbling around each other.
